About us

How did we start?

When war comes to your home, there is no way to be ready for it. Even when foreign intelligence services told us the threat was real and to take precautions, it turned out to be impossible. Once we woke up to bursts and explosions, we understood how fragile our life is. Every Ukrainian felt this emptiness and despair inside. So did we.

After we recovered from the shock, we decided to be a part of our resistance in any way possible. We created the charity organisation DobroDar to support all people in need. Unexpectedly, the horror of war gave us the strength to be useful. We made up our mind to keep assisting people, raising money for various needs, managing transportation and rescuing people from hot spots.

Official proofs

Everybody knows the importance of understanding who stands behind a charity organisation. The Charity Fund DobroDar was registered on 7 October 2022. The necessary documentation is available on this website as a PDF.

The fund is legal and works under the law of Ukraine. Any donation and cooperation with the fund is free of scams. We make regular reports on the funds used for charitable operations, with photo proofs. You can find more information in the project and news sections.

Why it matters to DobroDar

Ukraine is a beautiful, rich and sovereign country which is unlucky to have such an aggressive neighbour. On 24 February 2022 Ukraine became the main symbol of human resistance and the desire to be free. Our cities and villages were occupied, shelled and destroyed for the right of the whole of Europe to be free of terrorism.

We are the main barrier for the whole of Europe, and besides the everyday strength shown by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we need to be a driving force in the rear. It’s crucial to provide all the help needed by refugees, injured people, the elderly, children and abandoned animals.

Our projects

We have divided our work into main branches. Our team works on various missions every day, covering the most difficult aspects:

  • sheltering homeless people who lost their homes to artillery or bomb shelling
  • helping elderly people escape and adapt outside the country
  • repairing and building new homes for people escaping from the war zone
  • rescuing children without parents while giving them the opportunity to continue learning at school
  • transporting and re-homing our tailed friends
  • rescuing people from combat zones
  • raising money through charity sports events
  • organising the required medical assistance for the severely injured
  • providing legal assistance for Ukrainian refugees abroad
  • online and mobile psychological assistance for victims

Take action

Every action counts, every effort makes an impact. Now we feel the power of being together and united. Our team includes not only volunteers who help us with transportation and supplies, but every person who joined us by donating. The price of a cup of coffee can save somebody’s life.

Together we can help change the situation. By supporting injured and rescued people we give Ukraine and Ukrainians the opportunity to open another page of their future. Together we can save many lives by sharing information about our organisation, connecting us with other volunteers, or donating.

Don’t stay indifferent: support us now and help Ukraine live tomorrow.
